I find this quote very true. I did an A/B test to see which one would make me feel much more fulfilled as I try to write consistently. Take note, I'm not a writer.
I did Blog vs. Facebook. Here's what I have observed: Posting on Facebook can definitely help spread an idea, but can you also run the risk of alienating friends who see you not as someone who writes. Posting on this blog makes it easier for me to write. It helps you focus more on the practice than the outcome. But it won't spread. There's no feedback loop that's happening. So what now? Focus on the practice. Find someone you can trust to help you with your progress. And chill out, remember that art is doing the thing for the sake of doing it.
