I never imagined myself as someone who would need to have surgery. But I just did. I planned on continuing with my sport till I had the opportunity to finally compete this year. But now I'm healing from stitches in my body. Who would have thought? It reminds me of Solon's Warning from Nassim Taleb's book Fooled by Randomness. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to train for a while, but I'm grateful that I was given the opportunity to live again. I'm grateful that it didn't happen while I was in Manila, Baguio, Malapasua, Bantayan, or Cebu. It may have ruptured badly, preventing me from seeing my loved ones again. Forever. Life is not completely random, but it is more random than you think. Thankful to the gods with all of my heart. Incerto. Still the greatest. We'll learn from this:)
